The 12” pot and neck are both made from the same piece of quarter sawn Padauk, giving this banjo a distinct bright and shimmery sound. 25.5” scale. Comes with Gotoh tuners, and a cool hawktail tailpiece. For and addtional 50, I can replace the branded Remo renaissance head with a stretched skin.
Ambrosia neck and pot, with a 13 inch diameter for lonesome bellowing. Walnut fingerboard and walnut burl headstock overlay. Friction tuners, leather tailpiece and nylgut strings.

PAST PROJECTS
I skewed tradition on this one and decided to add a stainless steel tone ring to the equation. The result is wondrous and loud. Sapele neck with walnut fingerboard. The pehead veneer and heel cap are made of a nice piece of olive wood burl.
5-string gourd banjo made with a curly maple neck, walnut fretboard and pegboard overlay. Leather tailpiece. Friction tuners. Aquila red strings. Also included is a paduk tailpiece (not shown).
This banjo has amazing tone. Really rich and resonant, I’m very pleased with how this came out. Geared tuners and frets, so its not as fussy as it could be,

I’ve been in love with banjos for years
In 2021, I made my first banjo from the patio of my home in Oakland. From there, I expanded my practice to a 7x7 room, and now work from an incredible maker space in Denver, Colorado.
